The United Nations warns us that unless action is taken now, younger generations will inherit a planet that is “broken and unlivable”.
These Tyler Prize winners - scientists, policy makers, and leaders - are working to transform our relationship with nature and implement bold action to stop pollution, environmental hazards, and climate change.

In 2009, a groundbreaking study led by the Stockholm Resilience Centre identified nine crucial boundaries that we must closely monitor if we want to ensure a sustainable human existence on this planet.
Unfortunately, we've already surpassed three of these boundaries. We've caused severe climate change, and we're dangerously close to setting off irreversible feedback loops in the Earth's climate system.
Time is running out, and we have only a small window of opportunity left to take action and prevent a global catastrophe.
These Tyler Prize winners have pushed for policy changes that reduce demand on our planet's resources, reduce harmful emissions, and ensure science is considered in decision making.
